Input Output Global (IOG), a blockchain startup dedicated to advancing the Cardano network, has unveiled its most recent weekly development report.
Significantly, the report spotlighted Cardano’s technical advancements across various aspects of the network as part of ongoing efforts to enhance user experiences.
According to the report, improvements were made to the tooling for Ledger, the core of Cardano’s blockchain. The Ledger development team focused on addressing bugs related to the proper utilization of DRep thresholds.
Additionally, the development team behind Lace Wallet, a lightweight wallet on Cardano, concentrated on enhancing its multi-staking feature. The report indicated that the team plans to release the multi-staking upgrade in the coming week.
Cardano’s Smart Contract Functionality Receives Updates
Notably, significant upgrades were implemented for Cardano’s smart contract functionality in the past week. The Plutus and Marlowe teams worked on various projects related to the network’s smart contracts.
The Plutus team engaged in Cardano-node-emulator testing, while the Marconi team organized two workshops to explore Marlowe’s safety features and beginner-friendly smart contracts.
Team Advances Cardano Scaling Efforts
The Mithril team also provided updates, focusing on enhancing Cardano’s scaling. Progress was made in decentralizing the Mithril networks, resolving issues with Cardano’s Docker package, and addressing technical problems in the release mainnet aggregator.
Cardano’s development efforts in the past week align with the network’s recent milestone. As previously reported, Cardano ranked as the top blockchain project with the most development activity, boasting 502.47 Github commits.
Number of Cardano Projects Surpasses 1,300
Additionally, the report shared statistics on Cardano’s number of projects, native tokens, and transactions. The number of projects building on Cardano has now surpassed 1,300, with 1,302 projects currently active. This marks an increase from the reported 1,287 projects in September, suggesting that 15 new projects have commenced building on Cardano since September 29.
Furthermore, the report reveals that 148 projects have gone live on Cardano since its inception in 2017. The number of assets issued on the Cardano network has reached an impressive 9 million, and the total transaction count has surpassed 79 million.
